EL REBOZO Identity – Heritage – Artistry A tribute to the Mexican Shawl
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Our September exhibition explores the profound significance of the rebozo, a traditional Mexican shawl, as a symbol of identity, heritage, and artistry. At its heart lies a powerful collaboration with Mexican women artists who offer a fresh, graphic interpretation of this iconic garment. During Hispanic Heritage Month, we invite you to gain a deeper appreciation for the rebozo through the diverse techniques employed by the artists, including engraving, lithography, drypoint, aquatint, etching, woodcut, and stamping. Through these graphic interpretations, the rebozo's rich symbolism and cultural significance are presented in a contemporary and compelling way.
Dupont Underground is honored to be the exclusive U.S. venue for this exhibition.
